A POEM OF UHURU

Dear our motherland,
We are proud of you,
As you we celebrate your birthday,
Fifty years of age mama,
You deserve a pat on your back.

Mama i want to tell you some things today,
Which i am sure can refresh your mind,
And put somethings in perspectives,
As you celebrate this day....
Your birthday!

There is big gap between your children,
Some are so rich and others extremely poor,
Some are plunders and others spectators,
In our homestead there is no peace but tranquility,
There is no patriotism anymore.

Mama can you please tell my elder brothers and sisters,
Those you entrust the responsibility to take care of your farm,
To stop stealing and to think of me and your grandchildren,
Your great grandchildren and the posterity,
Tell them that God will punish them.

I hope they will listen,
If they won't i will tell my younger ones,
That they have disobeyed you and the will of our late father,
We will know what to do after four years..
Happy birthday dear Mama!

Dear mother, I comply with elder sibling
Life has become so demanding and stifling
But we want give up on our family mother
We will strive and achieve justice for all others

No peace no tranquility I would re-correct.
